Motorcyclist faces compensation bill for drunken crash

A drunken motorcyclist has been ordered to pay car accident compensation to the driver whose car he crashed into in Sunderland.

Wayne Miller was found to be more than twice over the legal limit for driving when he caused the collision, the Sunderland Echo reports.

He attempted to flee when the driver tried to ask him for his insurance details, but police tracked him down after his mobile phone was found at the scene.

After it emerged that Mr Miller also had no insurance, he was sentenced to a 12-month supervision order, banned from driving for two years and was ordered to pay £260 in compensation and costs to his victim.

It follows reports in the South Wales Guardian that a teenage boy has been ordered to pay £105 in compensation for causing criminal damage to a car after having an argument with its owner.ADNFCR-2070-ID-19148778-ADNFCR
