Hayward Baker picks up Community Award

Mrs Nicola Libby-Brookes, Finance Director of Hayward Baker Solicitors in Fareham, won the South East Business in the Community ‘Employee Volunteer of the Year 2011’ Award at a prestigious awards ceremony last week.

Business in the Community is a business-led charity with a growing membership of 850 companies, from large multinational household names to small local businesses and public sector organisations.

It is one of The Prince’s Charities, a group of not-for-profit organisations of which The Prince of Wales is President who also gave a video message on the evening.

Nicky picked up the award for her general dedication to fund-raising in increasingly difficult economic times and in particular, her voluntary work with Hampshire Autistic Society. Other winners on the evening were Glaxo Smith Kline, 3M, BSkyB, and Warings.

Nicky said, “It was a real honour to be selected as a winner as other companies who had entered were major corporate players. I enjoy the work that I’ve done so far and we hope to continue our support and fund-raising activities in the future”.
