Whiplash injury sustained in Bury crash

18/04/2011

A man suffered a whiplash injury in a collision in Bury last week that involved many vehicles.

The accident took place at junction one of the M66 northbound at around 13:30 BST on Friday (April 15th), the Bury Times reports.

A Honda Civic, a Mazda 6 and a Peugeot 306 were involved in the collision.

Police attended the scene of the accident and told the newspaper that one man had to be treated for whiplash injuries, but no other injuries were reported.

Motorists were hit with lengthy delays as Highways Agency officers and the police closed one lane of the road and set the speed limit at 50 mph while the three vehicles were recovered.

Last week, the Bracknell News reported that a woman suffered a suspected whiplash injury in a road accident in Bracknell, Berkshire.

Her purple Volkswagen Polo went off the road as she was driving along the A329 on April 11th.
