Two police officers injured in car crash

21/11/2011

Two police officers suffered whiplash injuries when their car collided with a second vehicle in Haringey.

The impact of the collision caused the police car to crash into traffic barriers at the scene, which flipped the car onto its side.

Both officers and the driver of the second car were taken to hospital with whiplash injures.

The crash came just a matter of hours after the Tottenham stretch of White Hart Lane between the A10 and Creighton Road had to be closed after a collision between a Haringey Council waste disposal vehicle and a white van.

Firefighters were forced to cut the driver of the white van out of his vehicle and he was taken to hospital after sustaining minor injuries.

Two police officers in Nottinghamshire were recently treated for whiplash injuries after their vehicle collided with another police car when the officers were responding to a 999 call.
