Car crash woman makes GBP 500k compensation claim

19/08/2010

A compensation claim for GBP 500,000 has been made by a woman who was involved in a car crash.

Diana Turan, from Salisbury, suffered a severe traumatic brain injury and broke both of her legs when she was hit by a car, the Salisbury Journal reports.

A high court writ states that Miss Turan's Mazda 6 broke down when she was driving on the A303 on September 14th 2008.

Smoke started coming from the vehicle so she quickly opened the door and got out, only to be hit by a Vauxhall Omega.

Miss Turan spent three months in hospital and still suffers from weakness on one side of her body, double vision and cognitive difficulties.

Earlier this month, former RAF airman Juan Feliciano-Diaz was awarded GBP 500,000 in car accident compensation after his career was cut short by an incident on the roads.

He was stationed at Lakenheath, Suffolk, when the accident occurred back in 2006.
