Car accident compensation - Couple treated for whiplash injury after Bradford crash
29/09/2011A couple in their 80s have been treated for whiplash following a freak crash in Bradford, West Yorkshire, which almost claimed the life of a young girl.
Ella Varley, 11, was described as "lucky to be alive" by emergency services after the vehicle ploughed into her outside a fish shop on Keighley Road, Cowling, on Saturday (September 24th).
Luckily, she was able to roll under the centre of the vehicle, which had smashed into a drystone wall, avoiding the wheels.
The car was being driven by a man in his 80s who, along with his wife, was treated for whiplash injury following the incident.
Ella only suffered cuts and bruises in the crash, though things could have been much worse, according to a spokesman for the local fire station, which helped to free her.
It comes after another lucky escape from a car accident in Cumbria this week, when an elderly couple were treated at hospital for whiplash and other injuries after the roof of their car sliced off.
